As the communities, nation, and world around us transform into a more expansive population, today’s workforce continually evolves to represent a more diverse group of people. Individuals span a broad range of ages, speak a variety of languages, display unique styles, and have different life experiences and priorities—yet in an effective workplace, they all work together towards a common goal.

Diversity of thought is a critical ingredient for the advancement of any field, especially those in STEM. However, embracing, navigating, and creating environments for a more diverse and accepting workplace can feel like navigating uncharted territory.

The goal of this site is to help you explore the importance of diversity, and then to provide you with tools and skills you can use to make positive changes towards diversifying our workforce.

The workshops

The online workshops provided via this portal are your first step to understanding and appreciating diversity in the workplace. Each one focuses on a particular topic associated with diversity, and each is designed to help you see the world in a slightly different way.

Workshops can be completed in 30 minutes or less. After reviewing all of the lessons in a workshop, including the final quiz, you can print a completion certificate as proof of participation.
